Olivia Scrap Cards

I made all these cute little cards using scraps from Basic Grey's Olivia collection. I only bought 3 double-sided papers from the collection, and cut off 8x12 sections to use for another project. Using the 4x12 pieces left and half a sheet of Core'dinations i found in my scrap bin, I made these! Love them! I also used 3 new stamps I'd never used before, 2 are sentiment stamps from Michaels, the other is a cute Bella stamp! Ribbon is from Dollarama, pearl bling is Martha Stewart and I also used my Spicas to add some sparkle. Ovals are all from the Mothers Day cartridge.

Nursery Wall Quote

This is a quote I did up for my best friends daughter's room. It turned out quite well, I think! It was soo easy to do, especially since I used the transfer tape! The sentiment goes perfectly, as her room is Tinkerbell themed!

'Tis the Season!

I haven't posted in sooo long! I've been ridiculously busy with work. I've had most of these cards made for ages but haven't had time to post! All of the papers are Echo Park, such a cute new line! The bright papers are from "Everybody Loves Christmas", and the more subdued are "Wintertime." Uggh I just love them both!

Love these stamps! They say "Merry Christmas to you and your (check one): Husband, Wife, Domestic Partner, Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Singles Club, Best Friend, Dog, Cat" So cute! I used From My Kitchen for the aprons, Joys of the Season for the mittens.

Aren't these ornaments sweet? I decided to use my Peachykeen faces on a ton of my cards... they are just so playful and cheery, they are perfect for some fun cards! The ornament is from Joys of the Season, the martini from From my Kitchen.

I LOVE this stamp.. but the sentiment doesn't really go with much... I had a bright idea to use this on my Christmas cards! Kinda cute, dont' you think? The heart is from Doodlecharms.

Yayyy more faces! Snowflake is Joys of the Season, and snowman is Doodlecharms. Oh, the adorable sentiment, "Winter Wishes" I got free with the November/December issue of Papercrafts mag. Soo soo cute!

Cute little gingerbread man! He's from From my Kitchen. The sentiment, again, so cute! "Candycane wishes and gingerbread hugs" how sweet!

Here he is close up... He is just so cute!

These last two are really plain and simple. Doesn't the girl figure make such a chique, stylish card? I made it at a free make-n-take at my LSS. Soo cute! I kinda want to get the Quickutz fashion doll set now... trying to be a good girl and not order any new craft stuff til after Christmas!

Have about 25 more cards to make.. a friend of mine asked me to make her some and I will happily oblige! After that, I am going to get started on a quote to put above my bed. I just got new furniture so I'm trying to get everything all

fixed up!

Inside of the card on the right... Love this Cakeabella stamp!

I made a handful of these cards up quick for a swap I'm doing... Love this stamp!

You are my sunshine...

This card is for Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 36! As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I would be using their adorable 'You are my Sunshine" stamp!
I love how bright and cheery he is.. so cute! I wish I had added some embossing to the blue background now for some texture.. next time haha!

REGISTERED NURSE!!!

I am so excited... I just found out today that I am officially a REGISTERED NURSE! Meaning I can start working ASAP! Just waiting on my job to call me and let me know when they want me to start.. I am so excited I have been waiting MONTHS for this!!!! :)

Annd.. more cards.

Ok. I am carded out. Tomorrow during my crafty time I'm going to finally start working on a mini-album of 2008 or 2009. I am sooo far behind in my scrapping.. ugh.
Anyway, some quick cards I made up this afternoon/this evening after dinner. All use scrap paper from the bottomless drawer.
These are probably my favourite from earlier this afternoon. I love the clusters of flowers!

The sentiment looks a bit blurry on this one - I stamped it twice, once in blue, once in brown to give it a bit of a shadowed effect.

Snazzy Apron Cards

Soo in all fairness, I DID tidy up my scrap area a BIT... but I got bored and just really wanted to work on something! I must say for once I am happy with a card - I love the way this turned out! I used some paper scraps I had laying around. Sentiment is Stamping Bella. I believe the paper is My Minds Eye Quite Contrary line, or something like that. I'm trying to use up a lot of scraps, I have a large drawerful to go through... my goal for the end of the year is to clear most of it out!

Had to craft another one before I went to bed last night... Love!!

Scrapkeeping...

I am being firm with myself today, and I am not allowed to scrap or make any cards until I have cleaned my scrap area to what i'd like it to be. Ugh. This wouldn't be so bad if I actually cleaned up after myself after working on a project... I've also gotten into the habit of throwing misc. stuff into these white bins I picked up to be organized more (HAH.). It shall be quite the job... blah.

Be Happy Card

I am going to put my feet up and watch some tv after this! Ahhh Lady Gaga was so great last night... and I am sooo tired today but I just HAD to make some cards with my free time this evening!!! ...Not sure what to do with all the cards I`ve made this week lol.
This card is for Day 188 - Divide and Conquer - divide your card into 6 equal parts, and decorate. I decided to make 6 assorted flowers from the Paisley cart, and stamp faces on the flower centres. Unfortunately, the faces aren`t complete since I somehow have lost my darling white gel pen (which I didn`t even know I owned until a couple weeks ago). I`m sure the card will look much cuter once I`ve added some detail to the eyes! Anyway, here it is for now!

Shape Up Challenge

Okay.. I promise, only one more post for 365 Cards after this one tonight.. then I will slow it down! This challenge was to use a polygon as your dominant shape, so I made a five-sided card out of kraft paper. Also used some pearl bling and paper rope from Dollarama, K&Co stickers and chipboard journal spot, American Crafts crocheted flower and Basic Grey patterned paper. I think I`ll use this to go with the gift set of cards I made last week.

Ad Inspired

Another post for 365 Cards - this time it was an ad inspired challenge - see link for the ad. I had a lot of fun with this one!
Drawing from the ad, I was inspired by the colours, flowers and the shape of the clockface. I cut out some of my favourite scallops from Plantin' Schoolbook, ran them through my Cuttlebut using the Swiss Dots folder, and inked them. The stamp is Stampendous, I think, I bought it in a set from Winners - $3.99 for 6 giant beautiful phrases! The flowers are various Primas and cheap Michaels I have collected over the years, not sure about the brads.

Friday Favorite Challenge

So today's challenge at 365 Cards was to make a card related to your favourite food! Hmm.. guess what I picked???
A cupcake of course !!! :) I used some scrap cardstock and KI memories patterned paper, Offray ribbon, dollarstore pearl bling and 2 new finds today - some paper rope and straight pins! The cupcake is from the From My Kitchen cart, and the sentiment is Stamping Bella. Love the colours on this! Nice, fresh and girly. I think sometime this weekend when I have time, I'm going to go over part of the frosting and add some stickles.
Off to my friends to get ready for a wedding this evening.. and then Lady GaGa tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No crafting until Sunday for me!!!

Russian Doll card

I have had the Paisley cart for a few months.. and have never cut out any of the adorable dolls!!! This is half the reason I got the card, those dolls are tooo cute!
When I saw the 365 Cards Sunday sketch challenge 182, I immediately knew I'd be using one of the cute dolls off the Paisley cart! (Here's the sketch)

I used some Paper Studio paper I had laying in my scraps. I really don't like the way the dolls face turned out, but oh well. Live and learn! I really love the colours on this card tho!

Opposites Attract Challenge

Another post for 365 Cards challenge blog! Challenge 184 was to use a colour we liked, and another colour we didn't like, or didn't scrap with a lot, and create (what else?) a card! Pink is my favourite colour, and I seldom use yellow, so here we are! Ran the pink and white cardstock through my cuttlebug, used an Imaginisce stamp (I forgot I had this! Haven't used it before), some yellow flowers from the $1 section at Michaels (which I think I actually bought for 15 cents? score!) and some cute MM pink button brads! Simple, but that is what I love.

'Digging Deep' challenge

While browsing some of my favourite creative blogs for inspiration, I decided to work on some of the challenges over at 365 Cards. I'm going to try to complete all this weeks challenges.. but we will see what happens lol.
Day 183 - Digging Deep, was a fun challenge! In it, we had to use a non-paper item at least six months old (I used ribbon from HL that I bought for 35 cents sometime in the spring of 2009), 2 sheets of patterned paper you've never used (used 2 sheets of coordinating KI memories paper - this was the FIRST patterned paper I ever bought for scrapping, and I never used it lol... but its soo cute!), an embellie you've had for over a year (I used a cute little balloon paper clip I bought at the dollarstore at least 2 years ago... I've had it so long I can't even remember), and finally a stamp that you've never used, but had for at least a year (I used an adorable imaginescense stamp from the 'All Kinds of Happy' collection - I got this from a scrap gift swap sometime spring 2009 and never used it). Inked my edges a bit (of course.. what else do I do?) and added a few pearls. This card is perfect for my sis-in-laws birthday, Sept 29! Now that I've used this stamp I want to use it on all my future birthday cards.. for the time being lol! This challenge was great to help me dig into my stash!

Catch-up

Just a quick post before I head out to my friend Tee's for a much needed girls night with our friend Sarah. UGHH. Today went from lovely to HORRID in 5 seconds. I accidentally deposited the wrong amount of cash (LESS) that I actually deposited. Kind of a shock to look at your atm receipt and see you only deposited mere cents when you put in bills? I'll get it sorted out in the AM. blaah.
Anyway, a jumble of cards I have made over the past few weeks.
Cute shower card for my friend. Prams and scalloped circles are from GS.

Another shower card, as well as diaper cupcakes for my best friend Jess's shower. 'Treats' on cupcakes are from Paisley.

Annd two birthday cards, top one for my Grammie, and the purple one is for an aunt. Definately going to start using my Peachy Keen face stamps on more than just paper dolls! LOVE the flower!

Cupcake box and card set

It feels like its been ages since I've been able to post something... or since I've had even a few hours to craft! Ugh. I took a few hours to work on a quick little gift for a friend of mine. She loooves cupcakes, and her birthday is coming up (the big 2-5) and she doesn't want a big deal made.. but I still want to get her a little something! I'm going to give her this cute little box with a set of four cards I made (may add more as time allows and creativity flows). I think I'll make up some gift tags too, and a little goody bag full of candies or something. She has a sweet tooth just like me!!
Just like the rest of the cards I have made recently, these are just very simple and basic, with a few little embellies here and there. I used some Fancy Pants felt from my stash (never used it before.. have bags of the shapes!), a new stamp from Stamping Bella and one of my adorable crocheted flowers from American Crafts!

Bright and Cheery

Lots of cards today! I joined a card swap (not due til October, but I like to keep on top of things!) to help with my stash.. and believe me, it is helping lol. Just trying to think of a good layout has produced about 8 different cards! Anyway, I think this little tulip from Paisley is pretty cute, and nice and simple for this card. Surprise! I used ribbon, and all plain cardstock! I like this colour combo.. very bright!

Here I used a Bella stamp and coloured it in with regular coloured pencils, blended with a babywipe! No gamsol, goo gone or baby oil in this house - I was just messing around with this last night while watching a movie, but I think this Bella looks pretty cute for my first try! Trying to stay away from the Copics... ugggh.. its so hard. Everyones creations with them look sooo nice... Maybe I will cave and buy a few (or more...) as a birthday present to myself...

Please ignore my ugly airhockey table... I need to set up a nice little nook to take my pictures instead of this or the old dining room table.

Just a few ingredients...

Why why why must I be so busy when all I want to do is craft??? Here are four cards I made today, very easy and simple, I used one piece of patterned cardstock (Fancy Pants Designs) and cut it into 9 4x4 pieces, so I can use it for 9 cards! I'm trying hard to get rid of all those little scraps. I also used ribbon, which is very rare for me, but I'm going to try and incorporate it into my crafting more since I have a ton of it, and it looks great! Now I just need to practice making bows and such.. ugh.
Oh! I also used two darling sentiment stamps I bought on Friday at my LSS's annual summer sale! Stamping Bellas - I now have an addiction and have ordered a massive amount of stamps online... :s
Another couple of cards I made... trying to use up this adorable Strawberry Limeade paper.. forget who it's from.. K&Co? Used my new Paisley cart for the adorable strawberry and lime!!!

And finally, another Paisley card. Isn't this zebra too cute?

Crate Paper Cards = ♥

Ok.. one last post before I am off to work! I really enjoyed making these cards for my good friend Sharla. They turned out very nicely. I used (obviously, what else do I use?) a Crate Paper paper and die cut set (love the butterfly!), kraft paper cards, and some cuts from the Mother's Day cart. I love the frames on this cart, as well as the tags! soo cute.

Some Sweet Cards

I just love these cards!
This one is sooo super cute. I used cuts from the Wild Card cart, which had previously been overlooked by me, as they're not the main images. SO CUTE! I need to make another of these, just love it!
Another cute one! This cupcake is from the From My Kitchen cart... so adorable! I used a Studio G stamp for the sentiment. Need to get me some more cute stamps!!! There is a sale on at my local scrap store this weekend... I don`t know if I will be able to control myself!
Easel cards are my new favourite, thanks to the use of my ScorPal (thank you Sharla!!!). This one was made for a cousins birthday. I used bic markers to colour the image. You can`t see it very well here, but there is some shading detail. I can`t afford copics, so the Bics are working out pretty well so far!
LOVE this one!!! I am going to make a few more next time I am crafting, just to have on hand. Again, used my Bic markers and some Studio G stamps.
